Author’s Biography

DAISY WOOD worked in publishing for some years before leaving to concentrate on her own writing. Her mother was a child during the Second World War, and it’s a period that has always fascinated her. Her novels ‘The Clockmaker’s Wife’, ‘The Forgotten Bookshop in Paris’, ‘The Royal Librarian’ and ‘The Banned Books of Berlin’ are all set during those tumultuous times – as is ‘What We Did in the War’, published under the name of Jennie Walters.

Happiest rootling about the London Library under the pretext of research, Daisy divides her time between London and Dorset. Apart from writing, she spends her time reading (for research and pleasure), cooking (she’s an avid sourdough baker), and walking her two rescue dogs. She has a husband, two grown-up sons and the best cat in the world.
