RPGWe’re thrilled to be celebrating a Book Birthday with one of our very favorite illustrators, Robin Preiss Glasser! Her book, Grand Jeté and Me (written by former ballerina Allegra Kent) is coming out and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s about a grandmother and granddaughter discovering (or rediscovering) the joys of “The Nutcracker” ballet. We hope you can join us for this very special occasion!

You can buy signed (by bookplate) books by Robin through Bank Square Books — this includes Robin’s backlist! Just click on the link, make your purchase(s), and say that you want the books signed in the notes at checkout:

We will be doing a special “Make and Take” of tiaras for this program. Please call the children’s room to reserve yours the week prior to the event (while supplies last) 508-881-0134 x7503. And, since it’s Robin, please wear your fanciest gear for the event – we know Robin will and so will we!

Please register for this event and you’ll receive the link in the confirmation and reminder emails – make sure to check your spam folder for them, they will be coming from ashlandprograms@minlib.net.

 About the Book:

This Christmas, join a young girl and her grandmother as they embark on a holiday adventure to see The Nutcracker together! Her grandmother, known as Grand Jeté, was once a prima ballerina and danced in The Nutcracker herself, and now she’s sharing the magic of this special ballet. Former ballerina Allegra Kent and bestselling Fancy Nancy illustrator and former dancer Robin Preiss Glasser collaborate to create an inspiring and festive tale for the littlest dancers and Nutcracker fans everywhere.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.
