Preemie hatsWe’re so pleased to be bringing this service project to the Ashland Public Library! Samantha McKetchnie will be teaching us how to make knit hats for preemies and then she’ll donate them to a local hospital! Whether you’ve never used a knitting needle or your an experienced needle-person, join us for this important series of events.

We’re meeting for 3 weeks in order to learn, knit, and commune over a common interest! No registration required but if you have sport weight yarn (acrylic or some sort of washable wool would be best) and double-pointed needles please feel free to bring them. We will also have supplies on hand. If you’d like to get a head start, Samantha shared this free online pattern with us.

Samantha McKetchnie is an experienced knitter who has taught classes at the Ashland Public Library in the past. We are thrilled to welcome her back!

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.
